Max Verstappen and Lando Norris went wheel-to-wheel last
weekend in Mexico City with the latter being forced wide by his title rival.
Lando Norris believes Max
Verstappen knows “deep down” he was in the wrong during the Mexico City
Grand Prix.
Verstappen was issued two 10-second time penalties on Sunday
after forcing Norris wide twice in four corners as they battled for position.
The duo are currently locked in a title fight with four
races remaining, with Verstappen holding a steady advantage of 47 points.
Norris stated he has not spoken to Verstappen since the race
at Mexico City - but believes the Dutchman knows his driving tactics were
unlawful.
“No, we’ve not spoken,” Norris told media including RacingNews365.
“I don't think we need to.
“I've got nothing to say. I still have a lot of respect for
Max and everything he does.
“Not respect for what he did last weekend, but respect for
him as a person and also what he's achieved.
“But it's not for me to speak to him. I'm not his teacher.
I'm not his mentor or anything like that.
“Max knows what he has to do. He knows that he did wrong,
deep down he does. It’s up to him to change.”
