Formula One tensions are boiling with Max Verstappen just about clinging on to a fourth-consecutive World Drivers' Championship. The Dutchman has been frustrated with the performance of his Red Bull and his previous dominance on track has declined to a mere 52-point lead over Lando Norris with six races remaining.
Verstappen has not won a Grand Prix since his victory in Spain on June 23 and has had to watch as his McLaren rival has shrunk his lead at the top of the F1 drivers' leaderboard. In Singapore, the three-time champion secured some vital points, coming second behind Norris.
McLaren are not giving up hope of winning a shock driver and constructor double. They lead the Constructors' Championship and have six races to see if Norris can overtake Verstappen.
