Christian Horner has refuted the suggestion that Daniel Ricciardo was used to intentionally deny McLaren and Lando Norris the bonus point for fastest lap during the Singapore Grand Prix.

The RB driver was pitted on the penultimate lap at the Marina Bay Street Circuit and ultimately secured the fastest lap of the race.

McLaren Racing CEO Zak Brown has called into question the legitimacy and sporting legality of RB's decision for Daniel Ricciardo to steal fastest lap from Lando Norris in the Singapore Grand Prix.

It was a move that aided the championship fights that Red Bull and Max Verstappen are currently embroiled in with the Woking team and its British driver.

Lando Norris has asserted he has no issues with Daniel Ricciardo snatching the fastest lap at the end of the Singapore Grand Prix.

Norris was on course to take the extra point before Ricciardo pitted for fresh tyres en route to taking the fastest lap without the extra point as he finished outside the top 10.

Russell admits Mercedes was sold Singapore dream

George Russell has claimed Mercedes' pace in qualifying for the Singapore Grand Prix made the team believe it could do better than the fourth-place finish he achieved.

The 26-year-old started and ended the race at the Marina Bay Street Circuit in that position, after benefitting from Lewis Hamilton's alternate tyre strategy, but losing out to the pace of Oscar Piastri's McLaren.
