Charles Leclerc had a day to remember at Monza on Sunday, with the Monegasque clinching the seventh victory of his Formula 1 career in emotional style as the Tifosi watched on. As well as being a cause for celebration amongst the Ferrari team, others in the F1 world took to social media to offer their congratulations to the Monegasque – while a certain canine member of the Leclerc family also got in on the action…

F1 drivers past and present congratulate Leclerc

In a post that has so far garnered more than four million likes, Leclerc summed up his Italian Grand Prix by sharing a selfie from the podium as Ferrari fans packed out the main straight below. As well as being popular with his followers, the picture also sparked a response from some of Leclerc’s fellow F1 drivers.

“Congrats, mate!” George Russell commented, while Lewis Hamilton – Leclerc’s future Ferrari team mate in 2025 – responded with several clapping hands emojis. New kid on the block Franco Colapinto – who made his F1 debut for Williams in the race – also added: “Vamos!”

Some names of Formula 1 past sent messages of congratulations, too, with Marcus Ericsson writing “well done” alongside several crown emojis while Bruno Senna simply added: “Bravoo!!!”

Sainz celebrates with his team mate

It might have been his 30th birthday, but Carlos Sainz was happy to celebrate his team mate instead on Sunday. “Really happy for the entire team, Charles and the tifosi!” the Spaniard wrote in a post on Instagram.

Ferrari also captured a nice moment as Sainz headed to congratulate Leclerc after the race in what was their final Monza weekend as team mates before Sainz moves to Williams in 2025.
